2025! What a shit show so far and I can only see it getting worse. It has made me take a very hard look at things. More importantly it’s made me ask myself what can I do? The answer is ‘Sweet Fanny Adams’. As an individual I have no effect whatsoever. I can however make choices and those choices like some minuscule butterfly flapping its wings might cause a hurricane on the other side of the world. Especially if all the other butterflies do the same.
With that in mind this is the last post on this website. I’ve disabled my Facebook account and deleted my Instagram (did that a few months ago and it’s the same company). When I need to upgrade my phone etc I won’t be buying Apple… for the first time in 17 years! It’s not easy. When you start looking it’s amazing how much the USA has infiltrated your life and for some things at the moment there just isn’t an alternative.
I’ve found this site European Alternatives very useful.

I couldn’t recommend a world with Facebook, Google, instagram, etc more. I imagine it’s what being released from prison is like and believe it or not there is an internet without adverts!
Anyway this is the last post here but hopefully the adventures will continue. I’m off to Lisbon tomorrow, Pompeii in the Autumn and a wedding (my eldest) and more UK days out in between. Hopefully I’ll see you in the future, if not all the best, stay safe and have fun. You never know what’s around the corner but fingers crossed 🤞 it’s a pudding 🍮 and a cocktail 🍹
