I created this website because I was annoyed with Facebook, lets be honest its a bit rubbish. I enjoy the whole process of writing a diary about my holidays. It allows me to think about the day I've just had or the holiday in general. It also gives me something more tangible than just photos or a bit of tourist tat (but we do love a bit of tat) to look back on and smile. I could of course just keep it to myself but if just one other person finds it entertaining or it gives them ideas for their next holiday then that's great.
The idea of getting other people to contribute came to me during a conversation with a friend about his recent trip. He refused, but quite frankly 'An Accountants Bicyclist's Tour of Columbia' could write itself. I've thought a little more about it and I like reading what other people get up to and seeing their photos. It also gives me ideas of places I might want to visit so I'm going to open it up to anyone who wants to contribute. I'm not necessarily looking for daily updates (unless you want to) but more of a summery with a few photos. The sort of thing you HAD to write after coming back to school after your summer holiday, hence the title. Also any handy tips you may have.
There are no finical gains for me (the opposite in fact). There is no sponsorship or advertising on the website. Its just a space to share your holiday adventures with other people without wading through political memes, adverts for things you don't want or click bate. If you want to have a go all you have to do is send me your musings with some pictures and I'll do the rest. Once published you'll have a link to share with your friends and family.
