A video and a blog! Someone had too much time on their hands. You can do just the blog or the video as they cover similar ground but they are different and sort of complimentary. I'd recommend the video first.

Never one not to blow my own trumpet (welcome) I can say with all sincerity that that was not great. I like the idea of making videos. It scratches the scab of creativeness so my imaginative pus can start to flow. I wouldn't even have to try and paint that disgusting image with words. I could just show you an oozing scab! The truth though is that my dead eyes and deadpan delivery doesn't do the medium justice. You're probably just too scared to look away in case you miss the part where I say what the demands are for the return of your loved ones. However being lazy, it's a lot easier to do that then trying to find appropriate pictures and video while avoiding fees and copyright. Until such time as I can hire some 'on screen talent' (I hear Robert De Nero is desperate and cheap hence his recent output) you're stuck with me. So on with the prologue...
This is our 3rd cruise. I’m wondering at what point I’ll be able to legitimately get a tattoo of an anchor on my forearm. I'll have to make sure it matches Lyn's. Of course the real reason for this holiday is so that I can wear my tux again. My plan of getting some use out of it by gatecrashing red carpet events hasn’t really come to fruition. I think you'd defiantly get past the doors if you just started walking down the carpet waving at photographers.
This is our 2nd attempt to visit the Canary Islands. Its not really been on our radar as a holiday destination and normally pops up out of desperation or because I don't want to go to the Caribbean for just one week as it's a long flight. Our first try was when we booked a hotel last minute back in 2020 after my surgery and it was canceled almost immediately thanks to that thing I've decided not to mention. This is a bit last minute again but it should, hopefully, still be fun.
I've done a whole thing about why they are called the ‘Canary Islands’ in the video... Its dogs okay... As in canine. I thought it was quite interesting at first but I've said and watched it so many times now while putting the video together I'm bored with it. Its yesterdays fact.
The new thing we are trying for this holiday, apart from the destination, is that we are going on the Marella Explorer as opposed to her sister ship the Explorer 2. The difference is this one allows children. It'll be interesting to compare the two ships and it'll also be good to see how many children there are and if we can avoid them. If it's not too bad then this could open up a few more (and cheaper) opportunities for us. Especially as we tend to go on holiday during term time. In case its horrible, we've got a large balcony with the cabin so we can retreat to that.
Here's the itinerary... There's some extra factoids in the video...
Day 1, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.
Day 2 Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife.
Day 3, Arrecife, Lanzarote.
Day 4, Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura
Day 5, Sea Day.
Day 6, Funchal, Madeira.
Day 7, San Sebastian, La Gomera.
Day 8, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria & Home
So thats the prologue for this trip. Join us (figuratively speaking) in a couple of weeks for our first trip of 2022!
